MyLink Issue

I have a 2016 LT Turbo that is having recurring issues with MyLink.

Sometimes when I start the vehicle, MyLink does not turn on with the vehicle leaving me without radio and any audio cues (Turn signal, etc).

I can often fix this by spamming the power button of the radio while the vehicle is running until it manually comes on, (this does not restore audio cues) and manually shutting it off by again pressing that power button, removing the key from the ignition and waiting a minute or two.

My question is, what the heck is wrong with MyLink that is causing this?

Have you pulled the fuse and/or unhooked the battery for 30+min? I've had mine act up before, usually can resolve it by turning car off and letting it sit while locked for 45sec then starting it up again. For the more stubborn cases, have to pull the battery.

I lost all radio sounds. No fm, am, xm or usb. The car also lost all safety sounds. No turn signal sounds, no seat belt indicator, nothing. First time I took it in they thought it was a blown speaker then they checked the wires. I was hoping it would be an easy fix like change the fuse but they had to order a new head unit. A few days later they installed the new head unit. All sounds were fixed everything was great until I put the car in reverse. A huge black screen pops up and tells me to service the rear view camera. Fast forward to today I am again at the dealer waiting for them to program that out.

Happened to me long time ago. If you are experiencing what I did you will probably need a whole unit. My sonic was only 8 or 9 months old it was replaced for free under warranty.
