NEED ADVICE, First Ticket in LilRiz!!

I got pulled over doing 6 over in Lima, OH on a fundraising sting yesterday, but I am from WI and we are not on the reciprocity states. The fuzz made me pay the ticket roadside, and said I can go and fight it at court. I'm ok with the fine if it doesn't go on my record, which I heard usually is the case for people from MI and WI that get tickets in OH. Anybody have any advice for me?

To my knowledge, if you live in one state (WI for example) and you get a ticket in a different state (OH for example) it only goes on your record for the state you go the ticket from. So if you get two tickets in OH but have zero tickets in WI then your WI driving record is clean. Don't quote me on that though because I have no law school/attorney experience.
