I know this is a forum about the sonic but you can't say Honda hasn't outdone themselves...check this civic concept out!

This is just the coupe. They're also coming out with the Type R in America which a lot of people have been waiting for. 300 hp turbocharged civic

They haven't out done themselves though... The new civic in the states is only going to be a 1.5 liter turbo and its gonna weigh almost as much as an accord. Gonna be slow as ****

Honda is designing for car enthusiasts again I'm pretty stoked. 8th gens sucked; cheap with too much cabin noise. 9th has a better engine. This 16' body is sick. Really like the side mirrors and rear end.

sonic braap I read its going to be a 2.0 turbo? where did you read 1.5?

edit: Plus the type R is possibly the hatchback style. they said they're bringing back the civic hatch

i read the actual release. the 2.0 turbo will only be available outside the U.S. and the U.S. is getting a 1.5 turbo that looks like an accord.... there's talks of a US spec type r coming to the states, but being US spec, its gonna be much slower than the euro spec if they actually do follow through with it

The type R is confirmed for the U.S. it was confirmed at the new york auto show. The article I read said it would be the 2.0 turbo and most likely would be the hatchback. plus the hatchback will be available for the non type R's.

They stopped that years ago that's why I got out I dislike all the new Hondas

Even if it is a 2.0 turbo, American spec is gonna be much slower and less capable

have to say the last civics I test drove were dogs (I wanted an auto for daily driving and city trips manuals are for my play toys) Honestly I wouldn't own an auto civic.. at least the auto sonic is fun as hell (I hear a tune can do great things with shifting as well) maybe after warranty I'll try that out....
