New Australian HOLDEN BARINA RS Owner
G'day to all,
Thrilled to say the family get around got an upgrade from a worn out 2001 Mercedes C200 to the 2014 Holden Barina RS......... I very neat and affordable car here in Australia
Needless to say, I am a motor junkie. I have a recreational car I run on track days. A 2001 Holden Commodore that now runs a 7ltr LS3 Stroker with a Whipple 2.3ltr S/charger producing 425RwKws (570RwHp) at just on 8psi. Built ground up to handle a good outing on the track.
....... But now the RS has given me a another project (not that the wife is to happy). Yerrrr, not the track day car but a very nimble get around town / country drive style car. So, as the potential is already there for a little more punch engine wise, I will be over time I will be looking to re-program along with the bolts-on's such as air-intake, exhaust etc etc.
Well the Aussie RS after market is not huge for the RS owners, we have a few engine builders that are equipped but cost wise .... Not cheap here in the land down under.
I will be using the group that built my Commodore, based in Melbourne called the Horsepower Factory (HPF). They are Holden's performance shop extension via Walkingshaw Performance and I am hoping any mod's I get done may continue to carry the factory warranty.
The family recently travelled to the USA in 2010 for a Disneyland trip ..... Fantastic people everywhere and can not wait to get back one day.
Well it is great to find a forum that will assist me heaps with ideas and queries. So a massive G'day from a fellow Aussie enthusiast.
