New Rims

I think I have found the rims I want for my car. I don't know anything about offsets and spacers and all of that stuff. These rims are 17x7 with a 5x105 bolt pattern with a 40 offset. I think they will fit, but not positive. I was also thinking of going with a 215/40/17 tire, will this tire be wide enough for the rim or do I need to go with a 225/45/17? Here is the link.

it will fit, i have a set of those on my sedan with the 225/45/17 and they fit just fine.

ask around on price, i got my set from discount tire for $119 a wheel

With shipping from discount tire they are $546 and on Ebay $564, not much difference.

i got some falken tires since they were the cheapest at $100 a tire.

I am running 225/45 17s on 17X7.5 rims w/ .40 offset and am lowered.

The advantage of running 45s is no need to reflash. I never considered a 40 so off the top of my head I do not know if you would need to reflash.

They will fit but they will need a reflash for the Stabilitrak to work properly as well as the odometer. Unlike TPMS, at least in my opinion, Stabilitrak is a safety item. - L

A dealer could do it. If you are tuned or planning to I believe the tuner could do it. The dealer would be about $50 minimum. I suspect Trifecta does not charge for this type of change.

I don't have a tune yet, was waiting until after exhaust & CAI, don't see a need for one now.
