Summit White ...
I just purchased Summit White 2012 sedan. Those Hertz prices looked really good but I wanted the 1.4T engine which the rental places did not have. I imagine you got a fantastic deal. I'm baffled myself why I was ok with the white color.
I don't plan anything drastic although the Summit White seems to call for some sort of decals or exterior modification...a blank slate. My only exterior plans are splash guards and to make the bottom of the back bumper a black color so it mimics a black diffuser area.
My first (necessary) modification was cutting up a plastic case/box I had to cover the carpeted dead pedal area next to the pedals. I know other folks purchase a piece of plastic (I could not find it at my walmart) or pay for the awesome aluminum one on the board here. In theory anything you put there will protect the carpet from being worn out. I think it should be considered Sonic mod #1 or a rite of initiation to the Sonics?

I would have really like to get the 1.4t but i couldnt pass up on the price that i was getting. The summit white is good, i really like the color and once you wax it, it looks really good. I could see it with some graphics though, I saw a post in the new user section and the owner put some graphics on the hood right above the headlights on both sides and i really liked that look so i think I might try and do something like that also i would like to get the rims that they put on Sonic RS and paint them black just to add a little more black to the car.

Thanks man, they come chromed but I sanded it down and did a primer color clear coat to them then wet sanded them to death. I have a link and more pics of them in my build thread.

I just Googled black Chevy Sonic 15" wheels and there are numerous pictures.
I am sure that if you take time and narrow the search down you can find your actual color and sedan or hatch with whatever color wheels you want. I also just print pictures of my car or white sedans and color them to get an idea of a mod before doing it, give that a shot.
That is such a good idea i never thought about doing that!! I know that I am going to plastidip the chrome on my trunk and the bow-ties like you did because it looks super sharp and im also contemplating doing the window molding like you did because i also have the sedan and i really like the mods that you did they are simple and cheap and make a drastic difference!

I have a bunch of pics in my build thread if you want to see how to tape it off also if you need any tips let me know because if you haven't used Dip before it has a bit of a learning curve till you're used to it. It also helps to watch a few of the DipYourCar videos with Fonzie to see some techniques.
I am not a big fan of chrome unless it is on a truck or muscle car so making it all black made the biggest difference to the car. Also helps to make it look good and only spend a couple hundred dollars.
