Passenger Door wont roll up.

In my chevy sonic 2013 recently my passenger side front window stopped working. It will go down but wont come back up. All other windows are fine. I took it to two mechanics, they both diagnosed that it is the window motor. I bought a window motor and while installing the new one, it was doing the same thing. The motor is turning only in one direction. I then checked with old motor, it is doing the same thing. Turns when pressing down switch, but not in opposite direction. Any idea what could be wrong? Will it be the switch itself?

2013 Chevrolet Sonic. One fine day, my front passenger window decided not to come back up after putting it down. Took to a local mechanic and he said motor need replacement and all electricals are fine. I got a new window motor which perfectly fits my sonic. Tested it yesterday by removing door panel and plugging in, and the new motor does the same thing as my old motor, rotates only in one direction ie downwards. I then jumped both old and new motor with 12 V battery. It both works perfectly in both directions. At this point I suspect it is the switch or wiring. Driver side master switch doesnt work for up or down motion, but the individual switch on the door allows down motion, but not the up motion. Please help with your suggestions.

It’s most likely the switch. My 2013 had the exact same symptoms on both the passenger door and rear drivers side door. It would go down but not up. Easiest way to test it or to at least get the window up temporarily is to remove the interior plastic door mold with the switch from a working side and hook it up to the broken side. You can get a switch replacement on Amazon or eBay for about $10-$15. It’s a really quick and simple replacement job.
