Penske Chev Terrible service!!!!!!!!

Well i took my car back to the dealer i bought it from becase i had a free oil change. The problem is they are 60 miles away one way. And i had 2 other issues for them. 1.) they replaced my mylink after it died on the 3rd day owning the car, 2.) the transmission surges or the engine surges at stoplights.

So i take my car in get terrible service to start from a guy in the service lanes. Then finally i get good service from Travis who is a coordinator or something for service. He gets me into a rental so they can keep it over night and work on it.

I get a call to pick it up, they found no issues with 1 or 2 and they changed my oil. So i go get my car and drive home, when i get home i was just curious about the oil level and what not. I pop the hood look down and the whole cover that was there is gone from the bottom of my car. Now i have see some threads where dealers have cut holes in it to get to the drain plug, but mine is completely gone!!!!!! Thats total bull****, im paying for a car with all its parts not for the dealer to take it off and decide i don't need it anymore.

So dont take your car there unless you want parts removed and never put back on and i checked the miles , they couldnt have driven the car more than 1000 ft to check it out for the problems listed above.

Never again will i go back to them, ever, never ever

Are you speaking of the belly pan that closes in the under side of the car to help increase MPG?? If so I believe that they only put those on the first run of Sonics then did away with it. Unless you are certain you had one before and they didn't put it back on??

My Sonic is a 2012 bought in September of 2012 and by then they were not including those belly pans on the cars.

I always look to see if my belly pan is there when I service my car at the dealer.

My Sonic doesn't have a belly pan and never did. Honestly I'm glad it doesn't because I'm just too damn lazy to deal with it and if it came with it I'd insist on keeping it.

Can't say if my first Sonic had one or not, probably not though.

The dealer called and told me mine never had one? i swear when i tried to change my own oil it had one and was dreading taking it off. And i can see the metal tabs in the underside where it would have gone and its unevenly dirty. Oh well guess im the crazy one.

As far as I know, no '13 sonics came with the belly pan. My '13 has one because I bought and installed it. The tabs were there on mine. I had to supply the bolts.

What is the part number for the pan? i would like to get one also , seeing that i was crazy and i didnt have one before

Here's a link to the page I got mine from. You will need 2 8mm x 1.25 x 20mm bolts and washers also. There are 2 smaller screws also. I don't know what size they are. I never took the time to find out. I've had mine on for about 16k miles without them.

When I got mine people were saying the dealers were taking them off of cars. Something about the mechanics being too lazy to take the pan down and stuffing rags in there to stop oil from dripping off the pan, then forgetting to remove the rag. Then the rag would catch on fire from the exhaust. If you do get one make sure you either take it off before going infor service. Or make sure they acknowledge you have it and its there when you get your car back.
