What happens when two bored Kansans wake up on a Sunday morning and decide to drive to Colorado for the day?

Adventure!

Kyrie gave me no issues at all driving the full 19-mile summit road up Pikes Peak. Highway 24 to get there was fun too!

Our Sonic did the mountains in Colorado last summer, and we are in Kansas too. Great pics!

Sadly it's all paved now a life time goal of mine is to run a car in one of the races there

I think that would be fun especially knowing nobody was coming down or up at you. Seeing some of the scars on the few guardrails was a little scary though.

Scarier yet was being on the outside lane way up there in the switchbacks with no guardrails. It took my breath away a couple times but was amazing.

My twin moved there so I visit a lot! But I haven't taken the sonic yet

I want to move to CO too, but more the Ft Collins/Loveland area. Going back out later in the summer for some scouting.

I'll have to ask her where her house is exactly but her fiancé is an army officer at ft. Carson (I believe) and she's with the colorado state troopers in pueblo

I am heading there this summer to check out the hill climb. I wonder if they have a stock class I could enter????!?!

You need to take your RS up it and feel it out. It's a blast.
