Fiberglass triple gauge tray display

I'm going to be making a fiberglass enclosure for 3 gauges on our trays that sit in the dash.

hopefully by the beginning of next month ill have some work done and a template made. Keep tuned in to see if this is something you would want in your sonic, dual or triple pods.

The one I am going to make is going to have a small hole on the front so that the radar detector power cable can be hidden and go under the dash as well..

here is a question though... would people like to have the gauges slanted towards the driver or just looking straight back into the back of the car?

I can imagine a fiberglass shell, covered with some nice vinyl, or a tough cloth..

Something like how they put leather on dashboards... Along these lines?

Also interested. I suggest straight as everything else on the dash is that way.

No idea....I did a google search of Corvetee leather dash cover and that image was one...no dea where.

been reading up on this a lot tonight found some very informative stuff and i think i have a great idea in my head for the tray gauge AND a pillar gauge... but nothing is set in stone on the pillar, i would rather have the tray so i am going to start on that first, but wont be until next week

how do you expect to put gauges over an airbag?

I'm pretty sure that there is not an airbag behind that A-pillar plastic. It's just where they chose to display the "airbag" emblem. If there was there would have to be some kind of retention device for the plastic cover during deployment, factory or aftermarket.

I actually liked the image put in my head by the "plexiglass" thing. I think what I was thinking was Lucite or whatever that clear pourable stuff is, but anyway I think it would look cool!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked the idea of a clear gauge holder
