Possible to freeze the mileage odometer?

Let me start off by saying I get reimbursed per mile for work and I have to report my odometer readings, when my car hit 150,000 its out of compliance and I need a new one. Does anyone know if there's a way to make a 1.4 sonic LT stop recording the miles when I'm not working?

That way I can record my miles when I'm working and use it as much as I want for personal use and the odometer will hit 150k after my 5 years of payments. After all the reimbursement policy says 150k on the odometer, it doesn't say anything about the car

Get a second set of wheels and tires that have a much larger diameter. Lord knows the stock suspension has room. When off the clock, use the larger wheels. You'll be clocking less miles than you are actually traveling.

Odometer tampering is a huge no no. Not sure if it puts you in "federal pound me in the ass prison" but its not a wise idea regardless.
