Power lock buttons not working

So I’ve searched google and the forum and cannot for the life of me find an answer.

I was cleaning my car today and realized about when I was done that the lock and unlock buttons inside my sonic stopped working. The power locks still work perfect with the key fob and when I remove my key, just the buttons won’t work.

I have a 2015 Sonic RS 1.4T manual, which has the buttons on the door and under the infotainment screen and neither work. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?

Also realized that my car won’t auto lock once I start driving, but still Auto Unlock’s when I take out the key, even thought doors remained unlocked.

Do you have a touchscreen stereo, where you can go into settings? I think there are options in there for some of these type functions. Worth looking through. Sorry, just reread the problem. Probably not in settings. But would look anyway.

I have indeed gone through the setting a bunch and tried changing stuff to double check and didn’t find anything that fixed it

Update, buttons are working again. I’m assuming that I got water in the fuse box from cleaning the engine or got something a little to wet. Say for about 3 hours before problem resolved itself!

Use drier water next time. Funny how easy water can cause a switch to fail for awhile.

After cleaning snow a couple weeks ago, my phone (Samsung S8+) told me I had water in the USB port when I plugged t in to charge up! Looked perfectly fine. Never heard of such a warning before. A shot of Electronics cleaner and some air blown in, cleared it up.
