Question about service advisory for 2017 Sonic Turbo

I have a tough question for someone. I have a 2017 Sonic Turbo. Two years ago, when the car was at 30,000 miles, my turbo went out. Cost was around $3,000 for repair. Capital Chevrolet in Austin, TX install an OEM turbo replacement, part number 25201063.

Fast forward to March 2024, GM puts out a service bulletin flagging the turbo in 2017/2018 Sonics. The letter says I will be reimbursed for the repairs.

Capital Chevrolet has been unable to tell me whether the turbo replacement is a new, improved turbo model. Since my replacement turbo was installed a year before GM issued the service advisory, my concern is whether an identical turbo model was installed that might have the same issues as the original one.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Certainly they have the part number of the installed unit and can compare it to the part number of the new and improved ?

I know, right? I have asked that question soooo many times.
The part number listed above is for the new part, but I have been unable to find a part number for the original Turbo.
The service manager told me that one problem I may have is the Turbo may be a different version but the part number may be the same.
SOMEONE must know. I am a journalist (albeit an environmentally oriented one), so I know how to be patient and persistent in trying to get an answer from the dealership or from GM.
I am hoping that someone with knowledge of how GM operates will read my question.

I would think the same part number is prolly true, although a revision number, or some other way of id, is bound to be available.
