Radiator Rez cap

Ok I have a problem. My cap will not come off. The top piece actually popped off when unscrewing it and the other half is still in. I ended up haveing to take the cap apart to put antifreeze in it bc there was to much water in it so it froze on me. What can I do to get the cap off. My last resort is to but a whole new Rez and cap

My cap came apart as well. I ended up using pliers to remove the bit that was stuck. As long as you're careful, you shouldn't have to replace the reservoir. Go get yourself a new cap somewhere.
