rattle/light knock from right rear, theories?

Have an intermittent rattle/light knock from rear (right side) over rough pavement. Started quite awhile ago, and is slowly getting worse. Sounds almost like a loose strut top, but it isn't a sharp knock.
Noise is not constant, and not upon accel/decel. Only over rough pavement and some bumps. Sounds like somethings loose. Could even be a brake line or something I'm thinking. Visual inspection finds nothing amiss.

Anyone have ideas or experience with this issue?

Next oil change I will try to remember to check all the bolts in back, esp the shock mount.

Might be your shocks. I had to replace them on my hatchback at around 140k miles.
