Real world Trifecta tune results

Thinking of getting the Trifecta tune. What are you guys getting in terms of performance & mileage after tune?

WRONG. While not as much as on the 1.4, there are small gains. The reprogrammed fuel delivery (leaning out the factory rich condition) is probably the main benefit. Please don't make comments without knowing all the facts.

Ya gains in 1.8 aren't huge at all. Very slight but after good supporting mods you can def feel a diff in pull

You usually gain driveability, small gains in fuel economy and a little more power. That is what I gained from tuning my truck's 5.3 and gained a little more with custom tuning which is what you get with Trifecta. You will tune your car and then log the vechile and then send them the log at which point they will clean up your tune (individualize it to your car) and send it back. Like what was said above, you wont gain what the 1.4 gets but it is noticeable and worth it (and almost 100 bucks cheaper than a turbo tune as well).

The time is worth it, around 12 hp a big diff In shift times and the ability to actually use any further mods. It is the biggest gain you can throw on the car besides a turbo

Will it take care of some of the peddle lag when the engine is under 3800 rpm?

What do you mean? I know it handles far better tuned, my self, some mechanic buddies and my mother both say that, she drives the same thing bit non tuned

With the manual trans 1.8L, the engine performs best between 3800 and 6300 rpm*, but when under 3000 rpm I notice that the throttle is less responsive. I think it has something to do with the E-peddle cause in all the other cars I've driven without E-peddles, I can feel and hear a difference when I push the peddle to the floor at low speeds and in too high of a gear. It's as if the engine is saying "I can go faster if you would just shift down a gear or 3." I notice this a lot in hilly areas when I'm too lazy to shift or when that old lady in front of me finally notices she going 10 under and speeds up.

* - It performs quite nicely and the throttle response is what I would expect it to be.

I can't comment on manual, but auto I can tell you all I know lol

Manual still has some lag but not near as much in the low rpm range

Yes there is real world results they have been stated it had also been stated that it our bit as drastic as the turbo but out is still well worth the money

We can get rid of the throttle delay. The pedal and the throttle blade don't match up 1:1, but we change it to be 1:1.

The tune will give you much better throttle response, around 12hp at the crank, and can remove the speed limiter, torque management, etc. (also known as the nannies)
