To those who don't know me... I drive VW's. My girlfriend has a sonic that we're piecing together....
Anyhow! I noticed while installing coilovers on her car that Chevy went with a torsion beam in the rear... Since the coilover install, the back end handles like crap and constantly is bottoming out. In the VW world, subframe swaps are common. My 2013 Jetta came with a torsion beam and I swapped an independent rear suspension subframe into it from the previous generation (2008) the swap was plug and play for the most part, and I'm pretty sure cruze's have the IRS subframe (correct me if I'm wrong)
So has anyone here make the attempt to retrofit one over to the sonic?
If it's possible, it's something we'd probably like to do. I'd just like to get some input since you guys know way more about these cars than myself.
thanks,
- Sean
