Rear view mirror question

I just got my sonic 3 days ago and I'm still not sure if there is a way to change the rear view mirror for driving at night. The manual says to push the tab forward or back, but my mirrow doesn't seem to have a tab. does anyone know if there just no way to change it or is the tab hidden somewhere I can't seem to find.

I was wondering about the same exact thing. I have a Chevy Sonic 2LTZ and here in Texas where every second car has those damn HID headlights it's really annoying at nights to have someone like that behind you without having the option to dim down the mirror.

it has a tab. you just have to reach way far back, almost on the other end of the mirror. check again. it's there.

I thought the LTZ gets a autoadjusting mirror. It compensates for the amount of light hitting the mirror by darkening the reflection. No tab is needed.

No, unfortunately the LTZ also has a manual day/night mirror.

Can someone give me a little more info, the back of my mirror is blank, there is a little white tab on the left side but it doesnt move, is this the tab?

it should be dead center on the rear bottom of the mirror. its a black lever maybe .5" by .75".

Nope there isn't one there on mine, I must have gotten a bad one or something.

I would definetly have your dealer replace that for you. Its not a bid deal until someone is following behind you at night, then you really need it.

Hahaha I called OnStar emergency my FIRST night with the car.
It's in such a terrible position.

I hate the Onstar buttons on the rear view mirror. I keep hitting them by accident. Any suggestions for a replacement? I'm pretty handy and could probably do it myself.
