Redline Tuning hood struts coming soon!! :)

I just contacted Redline Tuning today about struts for the sonic and they currently dont have any premade setups so I was asked to be the tester and I agreed!!

For those of you who dont know... Redline Tuning makes hood struts for cars and they are very nicely built and compliment the engine bay very well.

I had a set on my focus and I got compliments on them all the time and asked about where I got them.

Anyway once they get them on my car when I go to their shop they will start making them available on the market for (usually) about 70$ up to 130$ there are 3 different variations you can get. ( I always say you get what you pay for.)

So anywho hope some people will jump on this when they get them going into production!!

Fantastic, I have them on both of my TrailBlazers! They're really high quality and worth the $$ if you spend time under the hood (which I do). Highly recommend them, let me know when you get done being the guinea pig so I can pick up a set. Be the first mod other than floor mats!

Open hood then utilize the prop rod or just open the hood and that's it. I'd rather have the latter. Plus it looks a lot nicer.

I had emailed them awhile back about the same thing. My Contour had them...loved them.
They asked for volunteers...I failed to post it...this post just reminded me.

Glad you're letting them do your car. Guys this is an awesome easy to do mod!

The Sonic is actually the 1st car in the my family that didn't have a hood assist, atleast since I was able to undo a bolt with a wrench (so atleast 15+ years). Surprisingly the Sonic LT is as of this moment the 2nd newest vehicle we own at the moment, and at/or above the standard trim packages we usually buy (my bare bones 07 Sierra can hold the hood on it's own).

Can't believe the Sonic don't come with this, Great work OP. While I'll be sticking to what I got it's great so see an excellent alternative for those that want one, thanks for sharing .

Prioritizing, if you're joe blow off the street, what do you care about? Leather/heated seats that you sit in ALL the time or a hood strut you might not ever even use? I understand why, still frustrates me.

FWIW, my TBs didnt come with hood struts either. But my brother's 08 Jetta has them.

My old '95 Contour had Redline struts... loved them.
Easy to install!
