resonator sized muffler?

Since veering away from tuning my car for performance and more for ECO I have been wanting to make it quieter... I am currently running 3" straight pipe off the turbo and side exiting by the rear wheel. I am needing a resonator size muffler... I know they sell glasspacks but they aren't as silent as I would like... Restriction isn't a worry considering the fact that I am going ECO. The last sound deadener I used was a 35" cherry bomb glasspack... If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it a lot!

It would be running down the center in the middle of the car... I was thinking about magnaflow part # 12867 however I am not sure if 5" round would be too large?

Resonators are hollow and specifically designed for the particulars of each individual exhaust. They do not offer a quiet driving experience, that is tasked to the muffler.

The exhaust pipe runs through the resonator and cancels out particularly annoying sounds by using rebound sound to cancel out other sounds. These cancelled sounds are not always within the range of humans to hear but have the effect of making driving an experience that can induce fatigue. You may not hear the sound but your body does,

A muffler, any muffler, cheap or dear, will do more to reduce the exhaust decibels than any resonator no matter how cleverly designed.

Thanks laborsmith, I must clarify. Resonator "sized" muffler. I know it may have to be slightly larger but I am looking for a thinner circular muffler shaped like a resonator. The flow master dbx would work perfectly however it's 6"and im afraid that's slightly too big.

I have the Magnaflow 10436 in the middle of my system, that's a 4" round, and it fits perfectly with plenty of room. I'm lowered on Eibachs, and it clears all but the massive speed bumps. A 5" muffler will certainly fit, but you would likely scrape the big speed bumps if you're lowered. 6", no way...

Thank you, I think I am going to try doing a combo with this muffler and a 9" dynomax resonator.

OP, your exhaust is going to be loud regardless because you have 3" piping, if you want quiet, then your best bet is going to be dropping to a 2.5" exhaust.

Also, look into the flowmaster "hushpower" muffler. and if you decide to get it, put it where the resonator goes instead of back where the muffler would normally go. does wonders

I did a moroso spiral on the sonic, it was really the only way I could trade it in without them running from how loud it was
