Hello guys. I'll start by saying that I'm not a very experienced mechanic and most of my diagnostics have came from outside help. I bought a 2012 Chevy Sonic 1.4T 6 Speed Manual (112000 miles) about 4 months ago. Was in love. Going from 12 mpg to 35 was all it took. All in one day though. I hit a pot hole (more like a pond) and instantly noticed hard brakes. On my way to town ran out of gas under half mile gas station(this is everyday luck for me) and a buddy came with can gas. Got it filled up. More trouble rough starting, rough idle, power surge 3000 rpms, weak acceleration. Took it home noticed brake booster nipple was broken. I think it was this way when I bought it but we'll Blame the pond. So I parked it. Ordered intake, valve cover and plugs from zzp. Replaced everything. No issues fixed. Assumed gas was bad from buddy. Ran car around 150 miles. No improvement. Had local shop run codes (attachment coming) then a buddy ran compression test. Cylinder 2 had 0. Pulled off valve cover. Rocker was off of lash bearing. Rotated engine by hand. Popped it back on. Drained oil and changed filter and oil. So this is where I am currently. I'm afraid to start it. Cause more issues or should I give it a go and see what happens?
