I dont think it will be necessary to do this. If youre overly concerned let the car run for 20-30 seconds before you turn it off.
Even when you turn it off the turbo is being cooled by the coolant. The coolant flows by convection throughout the system even though the car is off.
I think with stock youll be ok as GM has accounted for people running the car hard then stopping. Its when we overload the system with bigger turbos and such that we should worry about added cool down time. Take it for what its worth

i had a turbo timer on my first cummins you could pull into a parking lot set the timer pull the key walk away it would idle for so long then shut off. It worked pretty good
I've had to pull over a couple times on very long hills to get the egts down. I melted one turbo before I got a pyro. I only had a hard time with egts because I was over weight 50% of the time . On my first Cummins my drive line parts list got rather large.
sounds like you need to go on a diet!
