Hi all-
I'm considering buying an RS. Would there be more cost associated with repairs for the RS, than say the LTZ turbo? I'm thinking about the different break system, suspension, etc?
well if you have to ask if a rs wil need more maintenance then im sure the person will get charged double for repairs regardless of whether or not its debadged.
RS has a bunch of appearance features and that it, so maintainence should be unaffected
Id say they will be about the same. Rear disks are way easier to work on than drums IMO. If you do a lot of highway driving, i wouldnt recommend the RS. Youll get better fuel mileage and and a more calm highway manner. If you drive mostly city the rs is great. I can be in 6th by 30 mph and lug most hills
Maybe you can claim that the higher spring rate will wear out the struts quicker. i doubt you would have a problem though.
The mylink might be expensive to replace after you punch it into submission
I try and stay in the 1,200-1500 rpm range while driving and 1,500 -2,500 rpm (maybe 3...) while normally accelerating. With 100% city driving that gets me 31-33 mpg.
