Just wanted to give a heads up about replacing RS steering wheels. I just replaced mine. The leather has so worn it felt like Alcantara, but not in a good way. The RS steering wheels are no longer available new. They are discontinued and impossible to find NOS. You can, however, still track down the OE fifth-gen Camaro flat bottom wheel. The wheels themselves are identical. My RS is non-collision alert. That's important. The collision alert wheel has different wiring. There was no collision alert on fifth-gen Camaros, so no worries there. The correct Camaro steering wheel GM part number is 23217514. As mentioned in many threads in this forum and on youtube, the tabs are a bit different under the wheel controls, so you cannot use the Camaro switches even though they look nearly identical. The good news is the cruise control switches on the left, radio controls on the right, as well as the specific RS emblem panel at the bottom of the wheel can all be removed as one entire piece. The whole thing then transfers over to the Camaro wheel without even the need for tools! My local mechanic performed the entire swap in about an hour. I cannot tell you what a difference the new wheel makes. It's like driving a brand new car! I don't remember the leather ever feeling this nice, but I guess when I bought it new in 2015 it did. Believe it or not I got my wheel off of Amazon! FYI - If you are a better parts hunter than me, the GM part number for non-collision alert RS wheels is 94780615.
