update...kinda: after half the day went by, i told my hubby to call the dealer and find out what was going on, i still had no idea why i had a loaner, if they were workin on my car, and so on. the service manager told him that they wanted him to drive the loaner and see how it felt and if it felt better than mine, he told em it did drive better than mine, also that he was pissed, he also did not feel safe himself or for me and the kids being in the car, either. He told him he did not know what to tell him, they are not seeing any defects to warrant a replacement...again.... they would drive it off and on and see if anything happens. This all makes sense to me now after talking with GM today too, she said it sounded like they are doing a vehicle comparison. Which doesn't make sense, i thought possibly that he was trying to get me into this loaner so I looked up the VIN and it seems it a buyback, so why do a vehicle comparison of a defective car with another defective car? The loaner drives much better than mine, it idles rough in d at a stop only, as soon as you let off the brake the idle smooths right out. It's weird but that's it. it takes longer to shift so its overall driving is ok, no power loss bog down while trying to accelerate, does no sort of adjusting the drive load while driving it that i notice and i have been watching it. here's my thought, there is something mechanically wrong/defective/broken/loose with my car, the computer is no picking up any codes at all with these issues. I believe that is the true defect in this car, it's throwing codes so whatever is wrong with it is being left un repaired and progressively getting worse. of coarse as the tech to nicely said to my face that the computer will ALWAYS throw a code if there is a problem, so if there is no code, there's nothing wrong with it. They have recreated all my issues and said they notice this, no code, it's normal. Prime example, the rattle- never any code-blatantly obvious-fix was the camshaft actuators. no codes for that ever. it was something mechanical not computerized. tell me if im way off base here guys k?!? So GM was great, i love my district rep, she's awesome. I told her i feel like dealer is screwing us both, by not trying to fix it, i no longer feel safe in that car, i spent 30 mins on the phone with her crying to the point where i couldn't breathe. I have never not wanted to be in a new car in my life, including the loaner, so dealer that they have to rely on is saying its fine, thus tarnishing gm rep, and leaving me with a vehicle i undoubtedly believe will kill or seriously injure my family. I look at my car and I love it to pieces, i then think about driving in it and my stomach turns, literally. she asked if i wanted to try and keep repairing it, i said no, they wont fix it since there's no codes, they see no defect, so in all the wait and watch I may not be so blessed as to only have a major close call, I had my car back less than 3 hrs when that near fatal accident happened, after it supposedly being fixed. I told her I wanted it replaced and not traded in but replaced. I told her what the dealer said about the trade assist program, which is me "trading in" in my car, getting a lower value, paying msrp on a new vehicle created a heavy heavy neg equity, that is total bs to put on any consumer! She said that wasn't right, and she was going to do everything she could to get me out of the car. I feel like im being railroaded by the dealer, they say its normal, not telling her that they are recreating these issues like they're telling me they are, they were willing to go to gm tech assist for the rattle but not for the other stuff, it makes no sense, there was never any code for the rattle but they did it then, why not now. they say because there is no code, total contradiction. with her only having what they report to gm as normal and what i am saying its hard for them to tell them to fix it, in the meantime i am literally being forced by them to drive a vehicle i feel is a eventual death trap, i feel trapped by them. i still cant understand why they wont help me, there is so much history and proof that they see the issue, they have contradicted themselves, gone above codes at their convenience. she said that it sometimes dealers will do things that are not on behalf of gm but on their own behalf, which is unfair to me. i told her about the other complaints on the safercar.gov site. she will look into it. now i feel like all i have is her in my corner but its like when your a kid, you wanna talk to mom but you're mad at dad or hes mad at you and ya don't wanna go near him to even hang around mom, lol weird analogy i know. thanks guys, keep ya posted........ cross your fingers for me, please.....
