So today on my way to work my tachometer just randomly fell down to 1k with the car in 6th gear going 55mph. The car was running normally and didn't slow down and I didn't engage the clutch. At the same time the traction control light came on. This happened twice. It's obviously some kind of electronic issue since the rpms weren't really at 1k rpms.
I checked for fault codes with torque but nothing came up.
I've also had issues with the AC not working properly, took it to the dealer and they said GM was looking into it as it's an issue with a lot of sonics and they haven't called me back in two weeks.
I also have the shifter problem from 1st to 2nd that is common and the dealer couldn't replicate it and told me to bring it back if it got worse. It happens most of the time if I shift hard between 1st and 2nd.
All of this is very frustrating because I want to mod the car but I don't want to do anything until it is working properly and all the bugs are worked out.
This is probably going to be my first and last GM product. I'm not impressed with their service department especially. I should have bought an Impreza.
