Some random things I noticed with iphone / MyLink

Many of you might already know this, but for the newbies:

- You can play youtube through your phone and MyLink, but ONLY through a bluetooth connection. Won't work if iphone is attached through the USB port. Now I can listen to my favorite youtube news feed while driving to work.

- Pandora works both via bluetooth (but you can't "like" songs then) and USB port (this way you get a full Pandora screen; but in this case you don't go through the bluetooth option but rather straight to the "smartphone connection" screen). One note on this, though: if you're using Onstar at the same time, and playing Pandora through your USB smartphone connection, the visual Onstar directions will NOT show up. You can only see them when you're playing music (radio etc) through the Audio screen. So, if you want to play Pandora while getting visual and audio directions from Onstar, make sure to connect through bluetooth (found that one out the hard way).

- While getting directions from Google Maps on my iphone, every time the voice gives directions, the phone automatically dials itself (MyLink shifts into phone mode and I see it dialing my own cell phone number, and the call going through). Anyone know what's up with that?

Ive discovered my car likes to play whatever song is absolutely first alphabetically. Also always turns off shuffle. To fix this i have a playlist ready hit play then plug it in and turn on shuffle on the phone. Also discovered you cannot use the search function on the phone to pic a song. You have to have it unplug, pick it, then plug it in. Bothers me because (not that anyone uses their phone like driving) I cant quick pic a song im in the mood for without some serious searching.
