Sonic 1.6-1.8 COILS upgrade

Hello, i'm new in this forum and i come here to ask something about technical information about LS Coils on 1.6 and 1.8 engine... i know that is a thread here talking about BNR COILS and custom ones... and i asked to BNR site support about this... one week later, they realese a new kit for this engine

First i have to say that i'm from mexico and i dont know if my english is well...
second. I really like this kit... but i'm a poor person that know how to build wiring harnes.. but to young to throw money to the trash can... i just wanna help my mom to start saving money with GM,ACDELCO OEM coils

My first question is about if i need a BNR Tuning for using LS coils... in 1.4 engine is really necesary? i understand that some coils work with Positive triggering pulse and other with negative pulse....they put and advertising in site that stop me from diy making coils

i dont know if the LS coils trigger with positive or negative...
i know that Sonic LTZ 1.6(mexico version) work with positive pulse

but got me very confused if i need a BNR Tuning for start using LS coils... if the Tuning changed if the ecu send positive or negative pulse..
i just wanna some help here

Changing the coils requires a tune. The spark dwell is different between the factory 1.6/1.8 coils and LS coils, so you have to adjust this in the tune.

thanks for the answer i will have to pay for the BNR tuning... i think that is a great option for economy/fuel and power, and make my custom coils

This is a solution to spark blowout on modified turbo cars, I don't think you will gain anything on an N/A car unless you are already having weak spark issues.
