sonic 1.8 tuner

I know this forum only advertises trifecta, but what's the difference between trifecta,bullydog, and hypertec? That's the 3 tuners I have found for my car. I know all 3 brands will tell me theirs it's the way to go... My main question is, which to go with and why?

Go with trifecta. The other tunes are a caned tune. Trifecta has data logging and better support. He fine tunes your tune for your specific car vs a general performance tune

What if I'm in the first stages of modifying my car, should I wait until im done modifying? All I have is exhaust so far but want to do more as parts come out, would I have to pay trifecta everytime I add a new mod?

Trifecta is by far the most popular here, we have sponsoring vendors that carry it, and lots of people using it... but I have never heard of your other two tunes, the alternate most frequently discussed has been Vermont Tuners. Possibly they offer only for the 1.4T though?

Not sure about Bullydog (thought they were truck or diesel oriented) but I am pretty sure only Trifecta offers 1.8 tuning.

Dont do BullyDog/Hypertech, there are MUCH better options available. Handhelds are not setup very well and will only yield mild improvement for more $$ than actually getting a real tune.
