sports exhaust

So if I want to make my car sound like a sports car, I want it loud, I like the farts and cracks, just no rasp. What kind of exhaust setup am I going to want?

What you want does not really exist. You can get close, but you cant completely eliminate the raspberry sound.

An exhaust with a resonator and no muffler is going to be as close to race car with minimal rasp as you will probably get. With no turbo to muffle sound I would recommend a muffler and resonator.

i love my zzp exhaust, cat delete/no muffler, sure its loud, but i love the sound

Are you running the resonator with your zip set up?

negative, straight off the first cat. I dont get a whole lot of rasp unless at wot. Have had compliments on the low tone it has for such a small engine. and the burble in downshift is nice

But you also have an RS don't you? The 1.8 N/A motor is going to sound quite different than the 1.4T in the RS.

I have run without a muffler and its LOUD and still raspy sounding. This does depend on the set up some.

Stock maniverter, high flow cat, two resonators, and no muffler isnt too bad.

header, and same set up as above and its LOUD and raspy.

Same set up as before but SLP muffler on the end and its not too loud but sounds like a bees nest.

Dynomax Super Turbo in place of SLP and its quieter and a lot less rasp, but its still there.

Ive heard that the ZZP exhaust is about the best available for our cars...other then the high dollar Borla. My concern with that is the ZZP hasn't been fit to a sedan model yet per ZZperformance website. Are there any sedan people out there that are running the ZZP exhaust and header?

I ran a second cat delete back to a fart can. It was really loud and I got alot of compliments on the tone. I had about $350 wrapped up in exhaust including the can. Cat delete. And custom bent 2.25" exhaust

So what I got a quote for was just under $100 to do a muffler delete and a turn down where the muffler was, any ideas on what would complement this?

Currently running ZZP turbo back with muffler delete and the rasp is annoying. Running in circles trying to find a muffler setup to please me. I like the gurgle and pop and not the obnoxious rasp. ZZP muffler is too quiet. I have considered a Magnaflow straight through or a rather small chambered.
