I didn't see a particular technical/problem forum, and the 1.8l section would be wrong, and Off Topic doesn't seem right either so hopefully this is the place to put this.
I've got a 2012 Sonic 1.8 (might even say that in my sig?) with around 55,000 km (34,000 measly miles) and lately the TC and Stability Control lights have come on and not gone off. The first time it was just the SC light, which I had the dealer look at and they "reset" it. Fixed the issue with the brake lights coming on late too. All good...well, that was 2 weeks ago, and today, both the TC & SC lights are on, and they won't shut off. I'll try disconnecting the battery, but I think that will end up being a temp fix.
Anyone else had this issue? The car drives fine, but winter's coming and who knows how that will play out in the snow. I'm not worried for me, but the kids use it as their daily putter-about car. School, sports, stuff like that, so I don't have to take time off work to drive them in. It's still under warranty so I'll bring it in again, but it seems odd that it has started doing this out of the blue. Did the dealer miss something? Is there some hidden or known issue others have experienced?
Thanks!
