recently i sold my pig at the FFA auction haha, so i got mula coming in soon :banana: so i was thinking of getting myself a intake, just to make a little more noise thru town, but then i started thing about the steering wheel, i find it it kinda slippery when my hands are sweaty. lol so i was wondering if you guys could help me out, and would any of these fit.

Lmao at the towels but im serious, the steering wheel is way to slippery when i drive aggresivly lol . even if it doesnt have much power i like to told on to the steering wheel makes me feel like ken block. hahah

Try a wrap or something. I wouldn't want to delete the airbag.

Wheelskins makes the best leather wraps. You sew them on for a perfect fit.

Baseball gloves will also work as driving gloves.

That zl1 steering wheel is awesome! Did it swap right in? It looks like Camaro ss steering wheels are going for about $140-$160 on Ebay and they look exactly like our wheels but with leather and a ss logo. I may have to pick one up.

Do any shift knobs swap over too?

Last I checked, it's illegal to delete the airbag in a car in the States in general. (federal law?) lol (Although people get away with it all the time. lol)
Not to mention insurance can deny your claims should anything happen to you.

But if you're still interested in an aftermarket steering wheel like that, you'll need to also source a steering wheel hub adapter that'll fit both that steering wheel and the Sonic to be able to install the steering wheel.

Basically, you can get pretty much any steering wheel to fit on the car if you have the right wheel hub adapter.

Thanks sonic bothern. lol it has helped i slapped some talc on my hands the other day, but my grip has been better since i started lifting again. haha

Warning: If you do an airbag delete, please, for the love of GOD get a racing harness. I don't even know if it would be compatible with the stock seat, but it's just not safe IMO to do an airbag delete without it. I have always heard, around my area (MD and N. VA) that a steering wheel swap, new racing seat and harness install are done all at the same time to accommodate the airbag delete.

I sit close to the wheel. Airbags can be dangerous at close range. and you're allowed to disable them if you have a medical condition or are of short stature.

I would argue that the driving mechanics that make me a safer more responsive driver on the road require that my seat be placed closer to allow my arms to rest at "x" degrees of elbow joint rotation. In doing so this places me at greater risk of injury related to close range airbag deployment.
