I bought my Kicker Hideaway powered subwoofers from Best Buy and had them install it as well. If you know electronics you can buy your system from Crutchfield (that is where I purchased my 500 Watt Alpine system from). Crutchfield has excellent customer service. They will provide you will all the information you need to install your system. When I bought my door speakers they provided all the installation gear for free.

I have a hatchback and my kicker HS8 are mounted on the back of the rear seats.... great location because they won't get in the way even when the seats are folded down. I have pics of the setup in my Sonic garage. You should check them out.

I ended up going with a Kicker TC10, with an Alpine V12 MRV-T407. I have the hot wire going through the small rubber section of the firewall and the ground in the truck. Does anyone know how to get the radio out of a 2018 Sonic hatchback so I can get the radio wire plugged into the RCA jack on the back of the radio? Thanks!

Radio removal
I don't know how to remove the radio however, you may be able to find some Sonic radio removal videos on YouTube. I am sure it can't be that difficult. You also can go to GMparts.com and look for the radio. Generally, they will have an exploded diagram of radio and all of the components surrounding it which should provide insight as to how to remove the radio.

My Sonic is a 2013 and there were no RCA outputs on the radio so I had to go a different route when I installed my Alpine amp. You are probably going to want to change all the door speakers too because the factory speakers sound bad when matched with a quality subwoofer.
