Swapped My interior lights to Blue LED

Bought a kit for $20 on ebay after seeing another members post and I'm really happy with the look. Cheap and easy mod to ad some personality to your sonic. The dome light bulb was shorter than the factory bulb so I had to modify the dome light housing with some needle nose plyers but it was easy.

Here's the modification I did to the dome light.

See the difference in the bulbs.

I had to pull the brass tab on the left out with needle nose plyersto fit the smaller bulb

It fits at an angle now but its snug and doesnt affect the lighting

Also plasti dipped the lower part of the bumper... I might redo it because its not as straight as I wanted.

The interior lights look good, although I think I would make a different connector in case I wanted to go back to white light.

Do you have a link to the kit you bought?
Did it include anything other than the LED bulb?
I've been wanting to change to LEDs but I haven't gotten around to it.

I could go back to regular bulbs, it would take a little bending back to the brass connector.

Bought same package, thanks for the tip on the dome light ill get around to it one day. Haha

they just sent you the wrong size of the dome light, just ask them for the right size 42mm, then you just plug right in

I reordered a new set, white LED's though. I find the blue are bright but doesn't light up the entire interior as a whole very well.

Not to revive an old thread, but I bought the eBay kit lights as well, and the dome light didn't fit either. They had a very blue tint to them, and poor quality. Two of them stopped working in a few weeks. I would spend a little more money and buy them from superbrightleds.com ... much higher quality, and I got ones that look a nice clean white rather than blueish. They have other colors as well, of course.

Mine are working fine a year later and are bright as hell maybe u got a bad set

Also I just bent the metal to make dome fit
