Thinking of Selling my Sonic (Ohio)

Ordered through a dealer and took delivery on Dec 6, 2011.

Basically an all-option turbo. Transferrable extended warranties (including service warranty).

I enjoy the car and have absolutely no complaints. I haven't had a car payment in 10 years and thought I wouldn't mind having one. I was wrong. This is a second car and am very happy with my 04 Saturn Vue. If I don't sell it -- oh well. I'll learn to live with the payments I guess.

also would appreciate feedback on what price you would sell your Sonic for. I think used Turbo versions are more for the specific buyer rather than a normal used Sonic. Dayton area only has a couple used Sonic Turbo's avaialble and price from a dealer is around $18600.

Hard to name a price because I couldn't imagine selling mine. I think you might be a little high though. It books at about $16,250. Granted, I don't have the options you have, but your asking price is $1,500 over what I paid for mine new from Lang's Chevrolet in Dayton. Good luck with the sale.

MSRP: $20985
Edmunds True Market Value: $20074

Not sure you would be able to buy a new identical 2012 Sonic for $17999. My price is 14.2% off of MSRP. Again, I think a shopper for a all-option Turbo Hatch is different from one looking for a regular one-year old Sonic.

In any case, I'm not desperate to sell - nor did I think the car would be an investment to make a little money after one year of ownership. Just seeing if there's possibly an interest for it at a decent price. If I got close to what I'm asking I still fall a bit short of breaking even (which is an unrealistic expectation anyway).
