To fart or not to fart can.

First off Dont tell me to just got get a cat back. I do not have the money for it. I got about $100 I can spend on this. I was gonna take the muffler off and eather get a fart can designed for that size pipe or put a adapter to go to the next size up pipe and put a muffler on the end of that. What do u think would sound better . And I was gonna go with a resonator muffler if that helps

He could drill holes in his muffler. Just don't score the muffler bearings or else you'll lose HP.

Or save 300 more and get the SLP cat back. It's not a race to modify your car, don't do something you might regret just to half @ss it and maybe get the sound you're looking for. If you are going to just throw something on it to get the car making more noise I would also recommend to use something other than a fart can.

Respect the bowtie! No American made car should have a fart can. If you want a little more sound and better flow, replace the chambered muffler with a turbo muffler.

Adaptability is a 12.
Quality is a 10.

Honestly all the systems are great. If you want a system that's cost effective for 400 shipped, is 2.5" mandrel bent Stainless Steel pipe, all it takes is a 7 dollar 2.5" piece of straight pipe from Autozone or Advanced to swap in to change the sound of you exhuast you can't go wrong.

The other systems are obviously great, high quality pieces, but they are all 2 1/4", you have to cut them up to swap in new stright pipe or different mufflers/resonators. But the biggest problem I had with them is I couldn't spend 600+ on an exhaust then pay shipping on top of that.

I pulled the muffler out and ran a straight pipe and it was a good bit louder and the drone was quite a bit worse. Not horrible, but I wouldn't take it on a trip like that. Currently I am back to stock because I also have my 4 1/2 year old son in the car a lot. I might swap out the resonator and leave the muffler before I deploy but probably not, other than swapping in the BNR BPV I think I'm done messing with the car until I get back from deployment.

Hey, I appreciate it! Yeah, like I said early, save and get what you want. Don't hack it up to try and change the sound. You will probably end up unhappy with what you do and you've lost that 100 bucks and end up getting a proper exhaust in the end. Keeps updated on what you get.
