Touch up paint

Question i naught touch up paint for my car. Its Olympic why got the number matched it to make sure. I went to apply it and is a totally different shade then my car. Did anyone have this problem or does anyone have a fix for this

I had to use the GM touch up Paint on my Inferno Orange Mettalic. However, my shade was fine. I used it to touch up my front bumper someone had scraped. Did you apply clearcoat after?

if it is the wrong shade, the best advice I can offer is to take said part off, and remove all the paint and re-do the whole section. unless you want to try removing just the section that is messed up, but I recommend having the whole part re-painted by a body shop to fix this, depending on the size of the area you were trying to touch up

I just bought some Olympic white for my 2013 Sonic from my Chevy dealer and it is a perfect match. Did you get yours from an aftermarket source?

When I baught my car it was used out of Florida. The paint oxidized so I'm going to try to buff it out and see what happenes

White paint is resistant to oxidation, it would be rare to see a 2 year old white car with oxidized paint.

The paint is very dull. No shine what so ever even after clay bar and wax

Are you sure someone did not buff out deep scratches and removed most of the clear coat?

yuuuup.

It would be beautiful - and any lack of shine would be hidden by the satin pearlized topcoat.

anyone know where I can find touch up paint for my sonic? trick is its it the "Black Granite Metallic" so regular black may stick out. Its the drivers side rear bumper. my wife backed into a pole and just scraped it. I thought of just using black and buffing but not sure if itd work. might aswell ask before I waste money on something that may not work

I have BGM touch up paint and I got it at a Chevy dealership. Black Granite Metallic is the same as Carbon Flash Metallic and mine does say Carbon Flash Metallic on the bottle.

Hulty uses automotivetouchup.com I haven't bought anything from them yet but I do have my eyes on some white diamond tricoat or just white to eliminate the chrome from my topaz sedan. Think the blue and white would look decent together.

That bad boy does look pretty sweet but the 23599 is truly laughable for a 1.8 ls. You could probably walk away with a fully loaded 1.4 LTZ or RS for less than that and still have extra dough to spend on wheels and tunes and other tricks. Definitely talked me into some white trim on it, now it's just a matter of white diamond tricoat to match the existing metallic of the car or summit white, my guess is some white plastidip to get a feel for the look and then move to the permanent solution.
