Was wondering if anyone had found any aftermarket or custom tow hooks/tie downs for the sonic? Didn't want to necro any of the threads from last year in which people flamed each other for being ricers for wanting a tow hook. I have a 2015 hatch, and I'm looking for somewhere to do front/rear tie downs for my kayak. I don't trust just having it strapped to the roof rack while I'm doing 75-80 on the highway. I found the front tie downs underneath the bumper in the front, but they're pretty far back and would undoubtedly cause a lot of stress on the bumper and its plastic screws if I were to put much tension on it. As far as the rear goes I can't seem to find any sort of factory tie down (granted I haven't crawled too far under there yet) and it's almost looking like I should just get a tow hitch. Any help would be great.

Was able to find a cheap solution that is hide-able so it shouldn't set off the rice police. Picked up these straps at my local Academy for like $8, probably too much since I could have just made it out of some extra strap off a tie down and some washers, but oh well. Attached them to the hood and trunk latches, now I have stern and bow tie downs for the long hauls to the coast. Hopefully this comes in handy for a few people!
