Yesterday, driving to work, the TPMS light came on within 2 blocks of my destination.
Continued to work, hopped out and checked the tire pressures. Most were 31, one was 29. Being that it was the first cool morning we’ve had in the burgh, I figured it must have been the 29 tire.
Later in the day I drove on home (13 miles) and checked the pressures again (no difference) and brought them all up to 32 and looked for screws/nails – found none.
Fired up the car and the TPMS was still lit. Thought? Perhaps a battery in the TPMS may be going out? So I grabbed my Tire Learn Tool (to test the communication) and did a quick “Learn” procedure – all seemed normal, started the car and still the TPMS was lit.
Later that eve I ran off to a store, Light still on, made a couple of stops and after a few more – “The Light was OFF” WooHoo!
No Light this morning.
Did the “System” need a few “Key Cycles” to Reset?
