Trifecta tune question.

Hello I am looking to start upgrading my 2013 sonic LT 1.4t, and I had a few questions. First off as of right now im looking to get a ZZP downpipe and full turbo back exhaust, along with the Trifecta tune. But how does Trifecta do their tunes? Do they just base it off the stock 1.4t setting? or if i had upgrades like the turbo back exhaust, do they base the tune off what my upgrades are. Also when i replace the downpipe i was reading that i will get engine codes does can Trifecta work around that and adjust the o2 sensor so i wont get the engine code? I will be calling Trifecta but i wanted to see if anyone knew about it so i had some insight before calling.

The Trifecta tune from the box will allow you to take advantage of your mods and do so without check engine codes. If you go with the full tune you will be able to data logs which allow Trifecta to assess if any adjustment to the tune is needed and these are done at no charge.

There is a wealth of material about this tune and the Vermont Tuners tune on this forum if you have additional questions. So much that reading it all is like taking a class.

With regards to your turbo back exhaust, I just ordered my DP and MP to complete the turbo back from ZZP for my car. I am not tuned as of yet but Vibrant makes a O2 deflector if you want to call it that which another member here is running and it prevented codes.

I know this is kinda off subject but i was reading the forums and I saw somewhere i think it was you, but im not 100% sure. That if you buy the budget tune you can upgrade to the full tune later and just pay the difference? Im still waiting for a response form Trifecta, i still have a couple of questions I just thought you might know about that. And if you do know, do you know if there is like a time period like 3 months to upgrade to the full tune from the budget tune. Again sorry if it wasnt you i just dont know what thread it was on.

Yes, the upgrade is $100 to go from the budget to the full

Never heard a timeframe mentioned, as far as I know, if you own the budget tune and want to go full 10 years from now, you still could upgrade at whatever the cost difference between the two is then. Of course, that will mean 2500 NewYen or something, if our economy goes down the tubes, but that's the risk you have to take.

If thats the case thats awesome cause then i can get the budget tune upgrade a few things then get the full tune so they can tune it with my mods. Thanks for the info. Just waiting on trifecta to get a conformation on it.
