Hi y’all,
I’ve had my 2017 Chevy Sonic LT for a few months now, and haven’t had any big problems until now.
Starting a couple days ago, my car sometimes refused to start, but this wasn’t happening all the time, just mostly in the morning. Eventually I started to notice that when it wasn’t gonna start, none of the remote functions worked - no power lock, no lights, not even the odometer reading that normally appears when you open the door.
Today, I finally went to get my battery checked out, and my battery’s 100% charged, and there aren’t any issues with the alternator or starter. What seemed to be the issue however was the positive battery lead that wasn’t securely attached to the battery.
Once that was tightened, my car seemed to start up just fine tho honestly idk if that actually fixed anything bc I haven’t turned on the car more than 2 times.
Anyway, all was good until I was driving home. Out of nowhere, my speedometer just fell to zero, the display turned off, and all the warning lights went on, then off after a few seconds. I could still accelerate and slow down, but it was scary to say the least. My car did this 2 more times within 2-3 minutes, and it hasn’t happened since (I’m home now).
Does anyone have any clue what the problem could be???
