Finally flashed my car this morning- made a video with literally every single step from opening the box the cable came in to emailing the data log files to customer support. I will post it as soon as I finish editing it.

My impressions: it's a totally different car with the tune. I was giggling like a little school girl:) Prepare on replacing ur tires soon cuz ur chirping them in 1st and 2nd at will!! There's even a hint of torque-steer, I say that in a good way! Haven't tried the no-lift shift yet though, maybe tomorrow. Best part is that I can turn cruise on and be back in Stock mode.

For the people on the fence (that was me), the tune is SAFE, clean, reliable, and is sooo worth it.

Cool and congrats on the upgrade. :D
I'll probably wait a week just to make sure I'm fully acclimated to the Sonic's shifter and clutch before I "pump mine up"!

Now it's just time for us to ditch the poop stock tires and put some real meats on them.

If only my wheels would become available. :blankface:

If you only knew how many times I have eyed the Camaro sitting next to my car in the garage and thought, "I wonder if I can fit those 295s on the front."

Did you bump up the boost any? I'm interested in some HP/TQ numbers. With my MR2 I got 100+ more hp out of it with just more boost and a tune with a S-AFC.

Hmmm, new comer here.

Maybe not the place for it but what all does this tune do? Does it affect the warranty at all? You say you can go back to normal by hitting the cruise, does that mean you can't use cruise control?

I know nobody likes to hear it, but if you break your PCM's cherry.... the powertrain warranty is basically dead if something happens. Sure you can play games around it, but honestly if you're not ready to pay ... don't play. The service departments have gotten much better about figuring calibration tampering these days. Not to mention I honestly don't think its fair to GM to increase your engines output 60-100% and then dump on them if it dies.

I do NOT mean to say that as a negative to BNR/Trifectas product as I tune pretty much any car I own :) this goes for ANY aftermarket addition to a vehicle.

One thing I'm kinda surprised is that on the LNF's many people would often buy a second PCM to tune. Is that not a viable option on the Sonic?

Cruise control is unaffected and will function normally. There is always a chance your warranty will be voided by tuning, but we do try to hide the tune as best we can. With transparency mode used and flashing back to stock, the dealer will not be able to tell you were tuned with current scanning tools (i.e. the GM TechII). If GM decides they want to examine the ECM in person, we have no way of hiding the fact that it was tuned. This rarely ever happens, and I have never personally heard of it happening, but it is a possibility.
