Ultragauge and ScanGauge Thread

Hey guys and gals,

If you have an UltraGauge or a ScanGauge, post your opinions, experience, and questions here.

I have experience with a friend's ScanGauge 2 that I was borrowing, then when the UltraGauge went on sale, I bought one. I've been using the UG for about a week and so far I like it much better than the SG2. The screen is easier to read, it shows more gauges, and you can put 6 gauges on each screen and page back and fourth between them. Also, the color of the screen matches the DIC of the Sonic better

I have found the Ultragauge to meet/exceed expectations. I particularly use it to monitor engine temp and afr. I do not know how accurate these readings are but in relation to different times or days I expect relative accuracy. I would be surprised if the readings are inaccurate.

If anyone has a desire to monitor their engine's functions, I would highly recommend the Ultragauge or any tool that functions in a similar manner.

I have a Scangauge II. I prefer it because i can run some CAT5/CAT6 cable, punch my own ends, and basically mount it anywhere.

In my old car i had it attached to the rear view mirror and currently have this running through the card holder below the radio.

I enjoy the multitude of gauges you can have on the screen. I've got mine set with instant MPG, average MPG, gallons per hour consumption, engine temperature, boost pressure, and engine load percentage.

That's just the main page. There's a ton of useful gauges, and code reading is a must

I bought mine 3 years ago for my 2004 Avao liked it because I could switch screens to match color of car and monitor fuel and temp.I also use it at work when people think they have fuel economy problems. Its alot easyer to show live readings and true data to a cust. then to show them a bunch of numbers on paper when fuel prices rise people think they use more fuel but its the cost your not getting as much fuel.

I like both of your gauge locations. I have my UG in a universal cell phone windshield mount next to my a pillar. I ran the cord down and gathered it in the 'secret compartment' above the port.

I changed MAP to BST in the advanced settings.

Of course, im also using the latest version of the software too.

back when i had the scan gauge i attempted to put in the code to view air fuel ratio off of their website for can and it did not work, that is why i returned it and bought the ultra gauge hahaha. if someone could get that particular coding to work i would consider going back
