I'm doing the valve cover on my 1.4t and it calls for 71 inch lbs. The little inch lbs torque wrench I got only goes down to 120 inch lbs. What should I do? The RTV is drying as I speak and no places to get tools are open.
Also, the write-ups and videos I saw for doing this show applying RTV where the timing cover connects to the head. I've had my valve cover replaced 2x before under warranty and there was no old RTV at these spots? The write-up I'm using from Cruzetalk shows removing "remaining sealer" but to me it looks like part of the gasket for the timing cover.
