In 2018 I had the waterpump on my '12 Sonic go out @ about 90k miles, got it replaced under the extended warranty coverage. I got home tonight and it took a dump again. Turned the engine off and it stops leaking, I got it on jackstands, started it, and looked underneath and when its on it drips by where the oil drain bolt cutout is, like last time.
Checked the hoses going to the heater core, checked the hoses in front by reservoir and radiator, checked around the turbo, and what I'm guessing is the thermostat (whatever the part is between the waterpump and turbo). Checked the water outlet by the trans, its all dry, the drip has to be from the waterpump.
Will the special extended warranty cover it again? Its under 150k and less than 10 years old. Its unbelievable it'd go out like this again, it didn't even last as long as the original! And I thought they would've replaced it with a newer better version?
