Weird problem lately. Help!

Lately it seems like my car has an odd high draw somewhere in the electrical system. It will randomly reset the radio no matter what mode its on and my dash will have a gentle flicker to it at idle. Once in a while while driving it will reset the entire car for a split second. It forces the car down into first gear when it does it no matter what speed it resets at. Once in a while when the radio resets it will not relight the radio screen for 10 minutes or better. I have traced all wires under the hood and checked all fuses and have found nothing. Only aftermarket item that would draw power is my pair of aeroforce guages I have on the dash which hook directly into the obd2 port. Any help is appreciated!

Did you check the terminals on the battery? Also check the grounds in the engine bay.

I had a similar problem... the whole car would shut off when I put my brights on happened a lot when i was 50 mph+ pretty scary... Being in manual mode it would lower the RPM dramatically and jerk violently. I finally tightened the bolt on the battery terminal and it has been fine since.

Battery terminal is good and every wire under the hood that I can see is connected properly.

It's the gauges.

Check the circuit of the gauges on the fuse panel for the current draw. Check it with the key off. You should see it pulling a few amps even with the key off.
