What do you compare your tuned sonic to?

We all know that from the factory, the 1.4t hatchback is compared to cars like the Nissan Versa and Honda Fit with its power to weight ratio. While the car is fun to drive, many refer to it as simply "sporty". For those of you who have been running an aggressive tune w/premium/intake/exhaust, what would you compare your car to now? Would you say that the Sonic is now in Honda Civic si territory, or in league with other factory turbo cars that it couldn't hang with before?

To me, it feels like a ferrari.... But never having been in a ferrari, it may feel like a sonic. Hmm... Lol

stock gti 1/4 mile time is around 15.2-15.5@94 depending on the driver.... Our test Sonic was going 14.7@93 on premium fuel. 14.4@96-97 on 100 octane.

And for what it's worth, the test car has raced a bolt-on gti several times. Always a head by 1/2 a car to a car length until he hits the over drive gears, then the gti creeps back and passes him, but thats at like 120mph. If it were a straight up drag race, he'd probably win by a car.

So you're telling me that tuned sonics are no longer "sporty" but are actually quick. I guess it's all perspective. Having drove a stock 08 focus for the past 4 years, my sonic feels quick stock, but I always want more power :banana:

I'd say the bare minimum you'd need in order to run times close to the Stratton car is an intake, aggressive tune, catless dp, cutout, and some rear spring spacers to keep the weight from shifting back too much (that car has adjustable coilovers to accomplish this). Stickier tires would help too, though that car is still on OEM rubber.
