thats honestly surprising to hear. Myself and Caivn both had fully bolted and tuned cobalt ss's before our sonics, and trifecta was one of the most horrible tuners with a pretty bad rep in the cobalt community for screwing people s*** up .-.

Everyone seems to go though BNR racing with the Trifecta tunes.

have any sonic owners had a problem with trifecta? like i said in my earlier comment, trifecta was horrible with the cobalts, causing many peoples vehicles to f*** up, so im kinda cautious of them. granted it could've been the drivers, but my tuner for the cobalt looked at a trifecta tune on his laptop and was all but ****ting bricks at how dangerous their tunes are

The Cobalt had so many issues that it's really hard to say that the Tune was the problem. My buddy works for a big dealer here in California, and he saw the same issues with Cobalts that hadn't been tuned. That model was a pos. Start modifying a piece of crap with intakes, cat, aftermarket electronics and you are just asking for issues, let alone tuning it. Everything on this forum I have read for the most part has been quite positive. And my buddy, the mechanic? He has a sonic RS with Trifecta tune. Driven it 103k and she purrs like a kitten. He's kept his stock, except stereo, headlights, lighting and some other interior mods. He convinced me to get a sonic in the first place.

Trifecta was the first available tune for the Sonic, and since BNR got on board with the forum as a vendor, people naturally gravitated that way. Service has slowed substantially, and people have reported problems with BNR and Trifecta for that reason... but as far as I know nobody has complained about the product itself, service aside people have been overwhelmingly positive about Trifecta.
Other tunes I have heard of are Vermont Tuning, HPTuners, and something about a chip.
I have had both Trifecta and VT and am very satisfied with both, while at the same time, still curious about the others, and about getting a custom tune done at a dyno shop. Tunes seem to be the most powerful and effective change you can do to your Sonic, the biggest bump and required in order to get any additional performance out of almost any other mod.

I've got tuning on the brain, too, but terrified to do so. I've heard Trifecta is the only way to go.
