Q1: According to the manual: "There is a manual key lock release. Locate the hole below the ignition lock. Insert a tool or key into the opening. Locate the lever, and press it toward the steering wheel while removing the key from the ignition." I found a small slot below where the key goes. Is that it? Where is the "lever"?
Q2: If I find this lever, will it release the stuck key from the ignition?
(My problem is actually the shifter knob. I've ordered the replacement part. I'm just curious whether the "manual key lock release" would be a way of getting the key out if the shifter button doesn't release. I already know the other temporary solutions to the problem---releasing the shifter button with a small screwdriver, lubricating the button, etc. I lubricated the button and it is working currently).
