Wondering if usb radio plug can be added?

Hey guys I have a 2012 sonic LT and I noticed above the glovebox on some sonics have the usb aux plug. Mine does not and I was wondering if anyone knew if this is something I could install myself?
I know the radios look the same so I thought there might be a cord that would plug into the radio.(it's not a mylink)

The radio has the plug on the back as well. If it doesnt, you cannot add usb without some fancy wiring.

My Sonic is a 2012, I have the "connectivity package" which I think was the upgrade from the base radio before Mylink existed. I got it because that was the way you got cruise control at that point. Anyway, I have the USB connection in the glove box, if that helps.

I can add .. I recently got my radio replaced and my usb plug did not work. Turns out they have to program the radio to get the usb to work (or thats what they told me).

Has anyone confirmed that the base (Double Din shaped unit) has a usb connector on the back?

the base radio (i have) doesnt have the USB plug in the back. you will need the one with the CD with it its from Ebay but its the one with the USB i have one waiting to be put in with the steering wheel controls. going to try and do it all at once.

The interface in the pic is a 3.5mm audio and USB, neither plug into the back of the head unit with standard plugs, but the wiring is the same.

The 3.5 is 4 wires, L/R +/-, the USB is as the picture below shows, they plug in separately I believe

If you have a 5 pin terminal on the back of your head unit I'm sure you could hack it to work.
